Well lets see... There is Krispy Kreme, and Winchell's. Maybe if the home office contatcted them they may want to accept AMAC people for discounts. Maybe Red Roof Inns, or some other Motel group. There are many chain groups out there that I think would accept the opportunity to expand their customer base.
I will have to look into Krispy Kreme and Winchell's I believe we contacted them already but we are much bigger now maybe they will change theirs minds. We already have Red Roof Inn and and many other hotel/motel groups.
We are constantly trying to build relationships here on a daily basis, but all suggestions may help! I will check on our donut options

Went down to the shooting range today. (I know not a lot of seniors do not shoot handguns, but some do.) Asked the counter guy if they gave a discount to AMAC members, or AARP members, he said no one ever asked before. I explained to him they could INCREASE their customer base by offering a discount to AMAC menbers. He said that the gun sales side of the house could not as they are operating on a low profeit seniro just to get people in the door. (I reminded him that volume cures all ills.) He did say that possibly the range side of the house might be able to offer a discount.
NOTE: Las Vegas is one of the few cities where a person can go to a range and actually fire a machine gun, along with guns like Dirty Harry used. There are probably 8-12 ranges here in Las Vegas that welcome tourists to their shooting ranges. Some even pay the cab drivers to deliver customers to their door.
The more areas that AMAC is advertised in, the more popular it will become, and the more powerful.
Tom, while at the shooting ranges in Las Vegas, have you ever seen the “Pawn Stars” filming for one of their shows?I know I have seen several episodes where they are at the range shooting canons, rifles,or pistols. There must be lots of shooters in LV with 8-12 ranges. Here in El Paso, we have only 2.My youngest son, and I go plinking or trap shooting every once in a while. It is really a great sport. The ammunition can be expensive, except for .22 caliber rounds, so we can’t afford to go more than once amonth or so.
I have not seen the PAWN STARS guys doing any filming, and most of the shooting (weapons shooting) they do is done outside. These ranges here are inside, air conditioned, well lit, and wonderfully supervised.. The ranges here have weapons you can rent, or you can bring your own. You can bring your own ammo, or purchase ammo there. My two favoriye ranges are "Guns and Ammo Garage", and "American Shooters", both staffed with well qualified staff. Tuesdays is ladies day, and there is no charge for range fee to ladies on that day at Guns and Ammo.
I have been wondering about what businesses even supported AMAC? It seems as though my question is getting answered. AMAC is not big enough yet and so I ask myself what good is it? I will not go to AARP, but whats the point of AMAC if you can not use it.
Scott, Actually, members make a company/business grow. There is a list of businesses that support AMAC on the AMAC website, and with the help of members, we can make that list grow. Let me ask you Scott: What are you doing to help AMAC grow? I know it's hard to see, but everyday AMAC gets bigger, and it's the members that make it bigger. Discounts, are just one of the perks of belonging to a group. Sharing of knowledge, and input on things that effect the members are items that AMAC provide thru the members.
Perhaps if you talked to a few businesses in your area about giving discounts, they just might do it. There are lots of ways to make AMAC grow.
I take a copy of the AMAC magazine with me to the barber shop, and leave it in the magazine rack when I depart. I do the same thing at my auto repair place, and also at my doctors offices. I am doing what I can to make AMAC grow. If each member did that, we could get a lot of free advertising that way, and AMAC would grow, I also take copies to the different veterans organizations and leave them at the reading areas.
Members make the organization. Members can make it grow, or die...
