As soon as I heard about Amac I signed my wife and I up. I also signed up for the ambassador program. I would like to see a section where other ambassadors can discuss Ideas and suggestions about what they're doing in their area to increase membership, as well as Amac visibility.(Here in Colorado we're just starting to hear about Amac) As soon as I got my package I visited several senior centers, it's amazing when you ask, are you a member of AARP? Are you satisfied with how they represent you as a senior? The answer to which, is not anymore. When you ask why? The answer most likely will be there just too liberal for me. I don't know how many people filled out their application, but I handed a lot of them out. Most people told me they didn't know anything about Amac but really like the Idea, of a conservative seniors organization.
I have been working on a PowerPoint presentation and hope to get a few invitations to present the benefits of Amac.
I also e mailed my congressman and senator with the Brochure attached.
I'm also working on an introductory type/business card to leave with people I meet. A number and e-mail address so they may contact me
As I said earlier I'd love to hear from anyone, about how their getting the word out?
We can share here on the board, or you can e-mail me.
Senior Crusader, glad you mentioned this. We are currently putting a bunch of Ambassador items together including the section you are requesting. As soon as it's all together you will be the first to know!

just looking over the site new members everyday cool!! is there?or/are you going to setup a way to tag someone you have talked to, so (like someone you want to befriend) you can easily find them? A check box in all users/or some way to flag them? At the rate we're growing it won't take long to lose track of people.
I too took what brochures to the Senior Centers in my area, and talked with some of the participants, and gave them what info I had available. A lot of people have never heard of AMAC, and were a little leery, not wanting to be on some mailing or phone list. (Possible bad experience with AARP?)
I live in Las Vegas, and would like to get together with some other AMAC members here in the city, and see if we can figure out a way to spread the word about AMAC.
Perhaps you could make a site available for people to contact others in their city or state. We here in Las Vegas have a thing called "Helldorado" that I would like to get others from here together, and get a booth to pass out information about AMAC.
Also would like to get more informed, and maybe do a presentation or two to different groups, like Senior Citizen Centers, or Veterans groups, or clubs. Showing there is an alternative to AARP, and reminding people that their is strength in numbers.
The key I think is to find gathering points for seniors, and have materials available for those that are interested.
