I am amazed that there is nothing written about the Election! There is so much being said about both candidates that I thought for sure, I'd find some interesting feed here about them! As a Catholic I have a responsibility to vote my conscience, so as not to commit a mortal sin! What a challenge, given the two candidates we have on the Presidential Ballot! Being a baby boomer, I never thought I'd see this day, where Christianity is being threatened by radicals who really don't understand our Faith. When I look at the candidates, I see a Democrat who will carry on Obama's agenda, which has literally turned this nation upside down. As for the candidate on the Republican ticket, I see someone that, if he does what he says he will do, can make this country great again! His personal life (his early years) shows him as a womanizer. He did support the Clintons in the past, but I'm sure that he's sorry he did that. I do like his running mate, Mike Pence, very much. He's a good man, and I do hope they win the election. The Democratic ticket scares me completely; I pray they do not win. Let me know your thoughts.
I am glad to see you will vote your conscience. I will too.
Unfortunately, Donald J. Trump is two people. There is the ego driven Donald who was immersed in media events, rubbed shoulders with "Hollywood", and could make outrageous statements (just for attention).
Then there is the Donald who loves us, is a good businessman, is a charismatic leader, has demonstrated he is a good father, and has the track record of a good manager. This is the Donald who would make a fine president.
Donald Trump has a rough side from his working environments and tv. He would not have made it this far without it. He has a great family and picks good people. At stake is our freedom and liberty and a host of serious issues but most of all the Supreme Court and we need to support him he is the only one who can take this on. This election is our only chance to turn this around!! Get out and vote!
There is a multitude of reasons we are where we are. A few, I believe, are at the heart of where we are.
1. Organized political parties. George Washington said they would be the end of our freedom. He was right. Americans are gone. We have only Democrats and Republicans who support their party, NOT their country.
2. No State shall accept as legal tender any currency not backed by gold or silver. That's what the Constitution says yet we have accepted Federal Reserve NOTES, not backed by gold or silver for 40 years. Our currency is valueless and our economy spiraling out of control.
3. The teachers unions are the single largest contributors to the Democratic party. What political philosophy do you sup[pose is taught in our "public" school system?
Two other things come to mind. As Benjamin was leaving Independence Hall following ratification of the Constitution two people asked him questions. One was "what form of government have you given us" to which he replied "A Republic madam, if you can keep it". ALL we hear is that we are a Democracy. We need to understand the differences!!! He was also asked if it would work to which he replied "they have already begun to disobey it"!!! This explains the destructive path we have followed and brings to mind another admonition "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance"!!! We have NOT been vigilant. Can we right our ship from where we are or must we begin anew?
