I read am e-mail that stated,If you are on medicare and get put in the hospital just for observation of a medical problem that they will not pay for it, is this true?
I also heard that if you are over 70 years old medicare will not pay for cancer treatment,is that true?
I don't think either of these statements are true; however, Medicare doesn't pay all the expenses. You MUST have a Medicare supplement which you should apply for at age 65, otherwise you will pay a penalty. The same applies to a prescription drug plan.
