My name is Audrey Grimaldi. I am a health scientist. Currently I am conducting research to measure the self-reported knowledge of shingles risk and attitudes towards vaccination for people age 50 and older.  I am trying to determine if more education and promotion about shingles is needed!  To conduct my research, I need people to take a short survey.

If you would like to participate, all you have to do is take a quick 5 minute electronic survey and answer a few questions.  No personal identifying factors will be collected and your responses will be confidential.

Although I have started this topic hoping people will participate in my survey, I'd also like to use this forum for people to discuss shingles. Discussions about health risks are a great way to promote awareness. They may be a useful resource for people to learn more about risk and what preventative measures can be done.  When my research is done, I would love to share my published findings on this forum, if anyone is interested!   So Please Please Please, take my quick survey!  Participate in health research!  And above all, learn more about this topic!

When I told family and friends that I was going to get a shingles shot, they all were concerned that the shot would cause me to get shingles. That's seeems to be the major concern about getting the shot.
