Do you live in Florida? What do you like to do in your free time? Fishing, camping, traveling and sightseeing, taking classes to learn new subjects, board games, shopping
I recently joined AMAC. My wife and I live in Riverview. We are recent transplants from Wisconsin and Minnesota. Two entire lifetimes of snow and cold were more than enough.
My husband has been a transplant from New Jersey to Florida - 1976. I have been a transplant from Maryland to Florida - 2002. Currently, our home in Port Saint Lucie area but have lived in many areas in Florida (Jacksonville - Keys).
My hubby (disabled veteran, retired) and I (self-employed/semi-retired, full time student) enjoy our day trips, enjoy photography, and have specialty collections. We do not miss the snow/ice but my hubby misses the cooler weather. If I had my way, we would be in the Keys (living on a boat); some how that will not work since hubby does not like water !!!!
*** I have a question for you all -- what are your feelings concerning the "All-Aboard FLORIDA"?? My hubby and I support the idea; it works in several countries in Europe and China. This train is not projected to be as big/fast as those abroad but it does offer an alternative travel/transportation mode.
Live in St. Petersburg, Fl ( long enough to be considered a native) and wouldn't want to move back up north.
Learning Tai Chi and really enjoying that. Love to cook and can't resist learning new crafts. Enjoy working with power tools as much as crochet needles.
Just joined AMAC because I got tired of AARP talking the talk but not doing the walking to go along with it.
