Just when you think you have heard all of the stupid things that are going on in the US -- this comes along...Black hurricanes...

Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about... A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston), reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names.  She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaquille, and Jamal. I am NOT making this up!

She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in 'language' that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.

I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, that's too hard to understand.

 The congresswoman has now been placed on my infamous list.  Along with Rev. Jackson Rev. Sharpton, Maxine Waters Oprah and a number of others of various skin tones. People who have made racist remarks and say offense of the ridiculous things about other people.  I never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. King however even being a white man I realized that the time had come to put a stop to segregation racism.  Racism and racial remarks are offensive to everyone.  That’s why I cannot understand how after all the sacrifices made to level the field for the blacks in America, why did the blacks, why does anyone put anything in front of the word American.  There are no naturally born African Americans, Irish Italian Spanish Asian Americans, if you’re born in America no matter the color of your skin or national origins you are and American.  We should take pride in one’s heritage but one should never put anything in front of American.

You may be an American of African descent.  Your ancestry may hail from many different countries but once you’re an American you must be an American first.

One’ last observation for the congresswoman had the hurricane been named with a more African sounding name, and it would have been destructive, devastating, deadly and costly, would the congresswoman be proud of the storm or would she have blame that on the white man?

Now I know someone will take offense to my comments so be it!  Just so you know I grew up on the outskirts of an American Indian reservation, I have had friends whose skin tone covers the entire human gamut of colors and I have loved them and respected and equally.

Be proud, Be American, be a proud American because everything else is up to the GOD!
