Tonight the President will talk about how we need to raise taxes, and continue to increase aid to the less fortunate. He will also introduce a few people that support gun control. He will not introduce anyone whose life has been saved by a gun. He will introduce ex-Congresswoman Gabby Gifford, but will not introduce Debi Keeney. Gabby was shot, Debi shot a guy that was choking her sister.
It's sad to think that a president would only show one side of a story that will effect everyone on America. Even the Felons back the President, knowing gun restrictions will make their job easier. Come on, WAE UP AMERICA...
For reasons that don't matter here, I didn't hear the actual speech, but from the reviews and discussion of it, it sounds like Obama did pretty much as you predicted he would.
And even worse.
I heard that Obama had families of victims of gun violence in the gallery but not the families of the late Ambassador Chris Stephens and the other victims of the Benghazi massacre. And that he made no mention of them, their sacrifice, or the loss felt by their families by their deaths. What a shame that he has forgotten those heroes so quickly. No. I take that back. He has not forgotten them. He made a calculated decision not to honor them out of commitment to his higher concern for political expediency.
