It has come to the attention of many people on Facebook that there are a lot of Congressional people that "have not had time to pay their taxes, or didn't know they had to pay while serving in Congress or are filing an adjustment later this year." What a crock of bull... If you or I, Joe Citizen pulled that we would be under the thumb of the IRS, and probably have our homes, bank accounts, and cars conficated.
How about dropping your Congressman a note, and telling him to get Congress to act like they expect the common citizen to act. PAY UP !!!
The very fact that Congress exempts itself from the rules it creates for "us" is an affront to the Founding Fathers. Congress, and all fedgov employees, should share the same fates as the rest of us when they kite checks, delay paying taxes or even double park. They should be enrolled "with us peons" in Obamacare, no special exemptions!
Moodyskeptic, you get my vote. I think those "fine representitives" that WE ELECTED need to abide by the same rules they want us to live by. I also think they need to have the same health care program they want us to accept. These fine AMERICANS want our weapons, but have increased thier own personal security.
I wrote to Harry Reid asking him to look into the possibility that there may be some Congressional personnel that have not paid their taxes. I got an immediate response about the enviroment, and how everyone should be concerned. Sounds to me like Harry and company are right on top of things, and show GREAT concern for questions presented by the people that put them in office.
