I like shooting handguns. I have a few that both my wife and I shoot, but my wife is not really comfortable with most of them for two reasons. (1) the kick when fired, (2) how hard it is to pull the slide to the rear to chamber a round. I have been looking at getting her a Ruger SR22. Its a light weight .22 cal semi-automatic. The gun is light, (17 oz), has a ten round magazine. Has anyone fired one of these?
We don't have an SR22, but my wife has a Beretta U22 Neos .22 LR semi-automatic pistol that she really likes. It has a 4.5” barrel, is light weight, and does not have a kick.It has a very futuristic look, is very reliable, and fun to shoot. My son & I, also enjoy “plinking” with it at the range.I think my wife paid around $240 for it, which is not a bad price.
I paid $319 plus tax, and background check. The gun is comfortable for my wife, and we will be going to the range next week. She can operate the slide, and understands the safety items on the gun. Once agan we are a happy household...
I carry a Kel Tek 380. It is very light weight. Not a long range, but I am not going to let some one get that close to me, If I feel threatened. It is in my avatar picture. I got it for my birthday this year from my husband. Who happens to be a gun nut, but likes the name brand ones.
