I received a letter in the mail this week from the Obama Victory Fund asking for a donation. One quote from Michelle Obama, in the letter seems quite hypocritical to me:Quote - “It’s that idea that we’re all in this together, that we rise or fall together, that I’m my brother’s keeper and my sister’s keeper. It’s the promise that no matter who youare or how you started out, if you work hard, you can build a decent life for yourself and even better life for your kids.”
If this is what they (Democrats) believe, then why do they always want to vilify the wealthy, who did work hard to get where they are.I guess they think that the wealthy are not part of the “my brother’s keeper idea.”How hypocritical! If the Obama Victory Fund is waiting for my donation, I hope they are patient, because “something” is going to freeze over solid before I send in one!!
This class-warfare stuff sucks. It reeks of greed, envy and covetousness. So what if some CEO makes $10 million, a basketball player makes $15 million or a supermodel makes $65 million? If they spend it, they don't have it any more! I toured a house in my area awhile back that was pretty nice -- 6 betrooms, 7 bathrooms (with bidets), marble everywhere, a separate guest/pool house (did I mention the pool?), barbecue area, tennis court and a putting green. The owner built it for his brother, but he died before he got to move in. The asking price -- $7 million. Oh, the extravagance! But, the owner didn't have $7 million any more! The architect got some of that. So did the general contractor. And the subcontractors -- the plumbers, the electricians, drywall guys, painters, landscapers, etc. etc. That's called "redistribution of wealth." It is voluntary, and everybody takes pride in a job well done. And that's how it's supposed to be done.
