I belonged to aarp a number of years. Slowly I started realizing, hey, this is nothing but a socialist organization that is doing nothing but hurting seniors. I am so glad I found AMAC that is much more inline with my ideals of conservative politics and conservative religious values. I very much enjoy AMAC's magizine that gives us useful news.. aarp's mag. was nothing but a socialist rag mostly about rich liberal celebrities.
Thirty years ago, AARP began to deteriorate. About 15 years back, I took issue with their policy on disarming vulnerable seniors as they came out for "gun control", which is one of the keystones of the progressives' attempts to control every facet of our lives, so I dropped them like a hot potato. Glad I found AMAC.
AM a great believer in "know your enemy". I still have my membership in AARP. It's nice to know what they are planning, and backing, so I know what to be prepared for, and what to vote against. AMAC is more in line with what I believe in, and feel that AMAC as it grows will develop a wider base, and be able to not just react to AARP, but pressure them to maybe re-think some of the things they are supporting. There is strength in numbers, and our numbers are growing as theirs seem to be getting less. Maybe America is finally getting tired of someone else thinking for them...
