My take on movies

I can count on 2 hands the number of good movies made since 1970.  Others mostly trash.  Won't waste money on R rated movies. Don't need my eyes and ears bombarded with filth.  R rated is blocked on my TV's too.  PG13 is bad enough.no

Movies are like books, there are many of them, and many different topics and themes.  I don’t like some of the books I have read, and definitely don’t care for many of the movies I’ve seen.  But to say most books or movies are trash, just because you don’t like the ones you have read or seen, is an unfair generalization!

I agree with you Old Eagle. Have read a lot of books that have made me wonder why I wasted my time on the book. I have maybe five or six books here that I started, but found they were not what I thought they were, and have not finished them. Not everyone likes the same things. (Thats why there are so many different books and movies.) What may be good to you, may be boring or out of place to me.

I had a teacher one time tell the class that we were going to read a book that had adventure, love, satyre, murder, travel, injustice, and mystery all in 89 pages. I thought wow, thats gotta be some book. We read Candine by Voltaire. Funny thing is I have re-read it maybe ten times. I liked it, a lot of fellow students did not.
