Volunteering is something I have found to be very rewarding and fun at times. Currently I volunteer for 3 different organizations on a regular basis.

I read to a blind man, work at a food pantry, and play Euchre at a nursing home.

The euchre is always a high point of my week. It is so rewarding to go there and see how much the folks appreciate your coming in for the afternoon. Usually when I arrive they are waiting for me, even if I show up early.

I would suggest that you may want to give voluteering a try. It has kept me "busy" several afternoons a week.
