Here's a good non fiction smile book that I read called "A time to Betray" . A very good history of events that took place in Iran. Reading this book was a big eye opener about Iran and what has happened in the pass and how it relates to a lot of stuff going on today in are crazy world. My next book that I am planning to read is a book called "The Terrorist Next Door". I will see if this one is as good as my last book that I read. smile Happy Reading smile

I am reading one now called "True Devotion to Mary" by St. Louis De Montfort. Very spiritually uplifting. I recomend it for people who are looking for a closer relationship with God. This is the second time I'm reading it and it is just as good as the first time. Some books just never get old and this is one of them.

I will have to check that one out. I will see if the library has that one thanks. Another one that is kinda spiritial that I really liked was " embraced by the light" it really makes you look at people around you in a different light in a good way. Well it did for me.

I am a fan of W.E.B. Griffin and that genre. Robert Ludlum was outstanding and respected by many other authors. Good stuff!

Try the book by Andy Andrews entitled "How do you kill 11 million people?" It should open everyone's mind to what is happening in our world today. Pegat

Read Power of the Dog by Don Winslow if you want to find out what is going on south of the border.  Not for the faint of heart.

Not a fan of non fiction but if you want a good uplifting book- I suggest you read the At home in Mitford  books by Jan Karon. There are about 9 of them. It's about a small southern town called Mitford (North Carolina, I believe)Main character is Father Tim Kavanaugh,  an episcopalian minister. The series reminds me of the Andy Griffith Show- there are interesting characters in these books. The Father got married for the first time in his 50's ( see? Hope for all of us), had helped to raise a teenage boy whose mother had been abused  and had lost custody of her kids. He is the glue that keeps all the towns people  together. We follow his story through his retirement. I am not religious but I enjoyed the books immensely. Jan Karon quotes some bible verses and good, old church hymns: one of the biggest annual events in this town is the blane and blessing sale that the minister's new wife Cynthia has to set up every year. I love these books-the people are interesting, the stories are great and, no matter how bad it gets for some of the characters, Father Tim always makes it better--I strongly suggest to put these books on your reading lists!
