Something I don't hear politicians suggesting--and it would help them win votes from seniors and people who save for retirement: why not allow over 65-ers to withdrawal from their IRA or 401K (or equivalent) retirement plans and have the withdrawals taxed at the capital gains rate--instead of as ordinary income, as is now.  After all, if one has been saving under such plan for decades, most of the account balance does represent LT capital gain.

Is this something AMAC could pass onto their lobbyist in Washington?

Linda as long as Hussein is in charge we are all sol. I weep for my country. You work hard for the 401k and other retirement and he just wants to steal it. I just wish Washington serve the people and not just themselves
