Looks like they used refurbished phones, which might be okay since they say they offer a lifetime guarantee (as long as you are a customer) as well as an extended service plan (accidental breakage)
which seems reasonable.
The rep says they work on the Verizon network which should be fine for where I live in FL.
The price for their iPhones seems reasonable as well, which is why I am interested in them.
We, too, live in Florida -- our experience with Club Cellular is OK.
Some of the personnel are NOT well versed in their products, services, and/or company's practices; some misinformation has been shared.
If you have any questions - please ask for supervisor and/or someone from technical support or billing to return your call.
Android phones Samsung Fascinate has their problems (manufacturer's problems)
** Currently we are on our second phone using this model; still having issues. We are considering the switch to :: Samsung Illusion (newer model, fewer customer problems)
We have decided to pick up our second CELL PHONE and line through Club Cellular.
We have decided to go with the iPhone4 for the second line.
** We have had our issues with the USPS and losing the first phone for a short bit. And misinformation is NOT cool but I, NOW, know who to contact if I need the CORRECT INFORMATION.
While Verizon does have some dead area zones in St Lucie County; we have not found issue with the service with Club Cellular services (coverage).
Club Cellular does automatic billing on or about 19th of the month. They do pro-rate your bill if you paid for your service when making the purchase of the phone.
They do offer plan sharing on most of their plans; but not yet available for the unlimited plans.
If we have anything further to add -- we will edit this posting.
The iPhone does work better that the Andriod models; please keep in mind that they are refurbished OLDER MODELS. the Fascinate 1500 and the iPhone4 is what they had in stock when I ordered my phone. Club Cellular does use VERIZON cell towers and in the are of town I live in (South Florida) - we are in a relatively DEAD AREA; so our phone service works 50% of the time. And to be quite honest - it matters not the model phone you carry nor service you use. The customer service for Club Cellular gets a B RATING from us. So there is my review of the phones and service.
Thank you for your quick response to my inquiry. Verizon is the primary carrier in this area (so I am told) and I have personally used them for 4 years. They are getting more $$$ all the time so I am seeking an alternative. Best Regards!
I just switched from Consumer Cellular to Club Cellular through AMAC. Imagine my surprise after getting the phones and calling to have the phone numbers ported from old phones to new. I was told it would take a few days to do that and we would have NO SERVICE from either carrier at that time! Also, there is a $37.00 set up fee for each phone. Consumer cellular didn't have that but there are other reasons we wanted to change. As conservatives, we wanted to support Club Cellular which is also supposed to be a conservative company. So, imagine my surprise to not only finding out after paying all of this money that there will be a few days with no service, but the person that answered had a thick accent and didn't seem to understand the products very well. I expected to be speaking with Americans through this company. I have no issue with foreigners except that when I am signing up to work with a supposedly conservative company that supports Americans, and I hear a foreigner, it is a little disconcerting. Then I found out that Verizon supports planned parenthood. So does AT& T though. Is any company truly conservative anymore? I am so disappointed.
I'm very disappointed in Club Cellular (Affinity). When I called to port my wife's phone number to them, I was told they would not disconnect her service until we activated the new SIM card. Well, suddenly her phone doesn't work because Club Cellular took over the number, but we have not yet received the SIM card. I called and the girl (from the Philippines or Thailand or Outer Mongolia) admitted that they forgot to put through the order for the SIM card. Once we get the service going, I'll be happy to give this company a chance. But these days it is so easy (usually) to switch, so they had better step up their game soon.
