What’s the best way for AMAC to spread the word to expand membership?
--Hollywood Personality
--Sports Figure
--Political Figure
--NASCAR
Boy howdy!! Am I disappointed! I can’t believe that a conservative organization such as AMAC couldn’t come up with a better list for this poll.
No, I’m serious.
Hollywood personalities, Hollywood is so left wing. The few Hollywood personalities that are conservative don’t seem to be speaking out. At least not in public.
Sports figures, let’s face it lately there’s been no heroes in sports.
Political figures, isn’t that why we’re already in trouble?
NASCAR, NOW let’s faces it, I like a fast car and some of these people seem to keep a low profile off the track. But in reality, is this, the best list Conservatives could come up with to represent AMAC?
AMAC would do better if they just did- man on the street interviews to further the cause. That way at least we would get some honest
I tend to agree with R. Smith too for the most part. There are a few conservative stars in Hollywood who have already spoken out. They could be used on that front if they are willing. I like Bob Cash's idea better though but I would add Rand Paul's name at the top of the list.

you would get no argument from me if Rand Paul were added

AARP has been around for many years and has built up a very large membership,as a former member of AARP I discovered to my dismay that AARP is an extreme left wing organization.I dropped out of AARP several years ago and having heard about AMAC I am now happy to be a part of this seniors organization. From what I can see,Amac is becoming more well known and is growing in membership.Nothing beats passing on information to the American people than Television.T.V. ads are in my opinion the best media for getting the word out.I have seen several AMAC televised ads ,short but to the point.Info mercials are the newest hot item on T.V. and this form of media seems to be working, maybe AMAC should give it a try.
As members, we need to keep up the word of mouth. So many people my age, and younger, get the AARP card in the mail the minute they turn 50 - and have never heard of AMAC. I"m telling everyone I know.
And I still get AARP membership ads in my mailbox on a regular basis.
Maybe a more aggressive mailout campaign would help? Surely that's expensive - but AARP gets people just because they don't know any better.
Perhaps someone knowlegeable could attend the REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP COUNCEL MEETING in New Orleans, LA. from May 29th - 31st to "spread the word" and try to recruit new members. Maybe an officer of AMAC?
Just a note all my AARP mail went to start my fire for the last 17 years. most of our tv is recorded for later viewing and adds are skipped. I would go with word of mouth and talk radio.
Do you really want our membership dues spent on TV? I think that's just a bad idea UNLESS the above mentioned names at attached to an ad. That's what AARP does with their dues. I'm thinking we need to just spread the word of mouth. My husband calls AARP "CARP"! LOL Our dues can go to better things than TV ads. We are known for our right wing values. Let's keep it that way! Just saying...
