My wife, Dolly & I were stunned to find that we, the family of an inmate, were charged double & triple fees for supplying basic needs of my stepson. This has made us so mad that the state was making money off the families & friends that I have started a petition to the representatives of each of the 50 states to make them aware of this abuse, since it is nation wide. Our goal is 1,000 signatures. This will take a lot of work, but we feel that these fees can be abolished. After all we are NOT the inmate.

I also would appreciate a detailed list of typical abuses. My son was recently detained and I was surprised by the treatment he received even without a conviction. I come from a family with many members in law enforcement so I'm trying to sort this out.
