Balance your plate with carbs and a protein
Permalink

My daughter went to a nutrition class at a hospital.  She learned so many helpful things.  Draw a line down the center of your plate.  One one side of the line is the carbs, and the other side is a protein.  Whenever you eat something, meal or snack, keep it balanced with a carb/protein.  It is better to eat a smaller meal, and then a snack 3 hours later.  Graze throughout the day - meal/snack.  Three meals, and three snacks.  This will help to keep your blood sugar level.  Include lots of greens, salads, fresh vegetables/fruits, whole grains in your diet.  Eliminate sugar as much as possible, and white flour.  Eat lean meat such as fish, chicken, turkey.  Cut back on red meat.  Here's to your good health!

If you do eat red meat try to find free range grass fed no hormones or antibiotics.  It is the junk the pinned cattle are fed and injected with that makes beef bad not the meat itself.
