furiousnoNow that we know for sure that we can't trust Boehner, is there anything we can do to yank him out of bed with Obama?

I think Newt is right. Boehner is trying to shove Obama's bad deal down our throats. AGAIN!

What we have in general is what I would call Repussicans, they will not stand up and fight for anything except their jobs! Not to mention the fact that they are DUMB in that they allow the Dems to define the argument and then try to beat them at their own game. A good example is that they allow welfare to become called entitlements and then to allow that term to include Social Security and Medicare which as we all know are benefits paid for for a working lifetime. What Boener needs to do is say that from now on, the word entitlements will NOT refer to paid for services in any documents or discussions as those have been paid for and are owed to those who qualify! Medicade will become a line item of its own and will not be lumped in with Social Security and Medicare since we have Social Security disability for people who are injured or otherwise unable to complete the years of pay in that are required to get SS and Medicare. Those who have not contributed, people who have never been in the work force and paid into the system will have to rely on the Welfare program called Medicade etc.! Let's start by calling things by names that are accurate by definition, not change definitions to hide whose money is being stolen by whom!!

We need to ask why are Boehner and Obama negotiating this budget in the first place! The budget process should start in the House and move from there. The Republicans should pass a bill making all the Bush tax policy permanent and actually cut spending in strategic areas of the Federal budget. Then let Reid and Obama stew over that and be the bad guys for a change.
