The Battle for America: Fears of Massive Rioting Across US Cited as Election 2012 Nears

Sounds a lot like an ultimatum to me. "Either Obama wins or there will be riots."

I guess this is nothing new. A certain segment of our society will riot whenever they can, for any reason they can. It always comes from the left though. I cannot recall a time when conservatives rioted about anything, although there have been many times when maybe they should have.

Why do you think OJ was aquitted? Fear of major riots. Look at the whole Rodney King fiasco, same thing. Many outcomes have been changed for fear of mass mayhem.

It does appear that threats work quite well, and as long as they do they will continue. If looters were actually given a jail sentence isstead of being allowed to run free things probably be quite different. As long a those in power are afraid of these thugs, it only gives them more incentive to continue doing what they have been doing, ie. riot, loot, beat, burn etc..

Any new ideas on this topic?

You are right. It is unfortunte that those people that do not get their way decide to riot instead of accepting the fact that they were out voted. All I can say is be ready to defend what you have, and watch not only the news, but the skyline. If a riot starts NDAA will be enforced, and a lot of people will take up residence at the FEMA camps, not by choice either...

I attended a meeting a couple weeks ago, the speaker was a constitutional Atty.  In his presentation he mentioned that Obama tried to circumvent the constitution, yet again.  This time he tried to use executive order to bypass Congress so that He could declare martial law, all by himself.  This one didn't quite make it, so he used the presidential proclamation to steal our rights.  Go figure?  And honest man?

The Atty. Said it was his opinion, if Obama lost the election. He would use martial law to deny Romney access to the oval office.

There have been rumors of this since before Romney was nominated. I have watched how this thing has grown. Little by little things are being set into place to cancel our rights. Those that stand up to those that want to change our government will suddenly disappear, or be labeled terrorists. There are about 800 FEMA camps in the U.S. Way too many to handle catastrophic "emergencies". All I can say is we better prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

When you control the media, you control what the general public sees and hears. Good old example. "The streets ran red with the blood of the American Patriots." Not quite true, but was believed. There are many more examples, but the point is, the current administration controls the media. Why do you think most other countries hate the U.S. Its the media.

I would not hesitate to believe that the current POTUS would not say a word to quell nor put a stop to any demonstrations, burnings or destruction. This type of activity is his hallmark.

Just my personal opinion, but...."bring it".

I didn't spend 31 years in the military to finally come home and cower from a bunch of screaming, whining liberal candy-assed weenies who've contributed NOTHING to the strength or well being of MY (and my children's) country.

Recall the LA riots? Some folks played naive and walked right into the hands of the ****roaches. Others - the smart ones - fought back; they stood their ground with guns in hand.

Wanna dance? Let's dance....I'm not too old to pull a trigger.....but I AM too old to give a crap about being locked up for the remainder of my life.

Mess with me, fine.

Mess with my family, my home or my neighbors, and you're toast. I'll have no patience or mercy for this crap.

So, again...."bring it".

Cobra-3, I, like you gave many years, (27) of my life to serving this country, and hate the thought that MAYBE someone wants to change this country into a third world nation. I have always been proud of that flag flying above this great country. I read everyday that people are trying to damage what this country stands for. They are not trying to make our county better, but attempting to lower our standards, and take from the "haves" and give to the "have nots". The "haves" for the most part have earned what they have, and the "have nots" want to steal their wealth, pride, and integrity. If they want what I have, (which is not a lot, but earned by me), you better pack a lunch if your think you are gonna take it, as its going to be a long, hard fought battle. If I run out of bullets, I will scratch, gouge, and bite, but you will only get what I have after you kill me, and believe me, I will not go down easy.

These scumbags have their freedom of speech because people like us gave sweat, blood and tears to keep things like the First Amendment. We are not asking for any thanks, just respect for this great country, and what it stands for. You don't like it here? Pack up and move someplace else that thinks like you do. I am proud to be an AMERICAN, and will fight for this country to my last bullet, and breath. We may not be in the same area Cobra-3, but our thoughts are the same.

GOD BLESS AMERICA, and pass the ammunition.

Despite the polls, I do not think that this race is as close as the media portrays it. I think that a lot of people are lying about being undecided and that they are leaning towards Obama because they do not wish to be thought racist. There is privacy in the voting booth, and it is my feeling that this will be a shock to the nation when Romney wins rather handily. The comparisons to the 1980 election are too many to disregard - and people are sick of being treated like idiots. The quiet folks, who normally just vote and get on with thier lives, working, paying taxes and being responsible, are fed up with paying the way for the perpetual parasites who are irresponsible - be it some banker on Wall Street or some moron who used his home as an ATM during the housing boom and ran up his debt.  People want an adult to be in charge and Obama comes across as a petulant adolescent, a cool kid who thinks he is so great that no one should dare to question his fabulousness ever. Despite the constant lame and false narrative of Romney being some patsy for the wealthy, Obama has very little to convince voters of any intelligence that he is up to the job for which he was never qualified in the first place.

If Romney wins with more than 50% of the vote, which I beleive he will, Obama and his supporters will either prove that the good of the nation is second to the good of the Democratic party and Obama, or they will prove that the truly are concerned about the best interests of the country, concede, and call for a calm transition of power.

I think you may be right in that most people don't want others calling them racists. I really hope that you are right, and Romney wins, but I also feel as many others do, that if Romney wins there will be rioting because a lot of people will realize that their free ride is over. I also think if Romney wins, Obama will insure that situations are such as he can declare martial law.

The way our government is set up, Romney could win the popular vote, but still lose the election. I think that that is what Obama is counting on. If it goes against Obama, there are going to be lots of problems.

You must remember that the media live in a little bubble encompassing NY, DC, LA with outposts in major cities - all Dem strongholds. They view it through a prism of like-minded voters - hence the predisposition to assume that what is happening in their environment is reflective of the entire nation - it is not. And while Obama will most likely win those states which have been ruled by Dems for decades, states which also tend to have a larger percentage of the population dependent on government in one way or another for survival, and so will vote for the party which promises to keep supporting them, there are millions of voters elsewhere who do not want the government to be even more powerful, who do not like the idea of becoming like Europe, and who finally feel that they gave Obama a chance, he failed beyond their worst fears, and while Romney is most certainly not the most powerful candidate, he IS competent, and is is NOT Obama. Obama won in 2008 for several reasons, but one of the main motives for choosing him was because voters were sick of Bush and McCain was tied too closely to him. Like almost every election I can remember since I first voted in 1980, most people are voting AGAINST a candidate more than they are voting FOR one. And this will hurt Obama, because while he has done what he promised - instituted fundamental change in the way the nation operates - the only people who like it are the ones who would vote for any Democrat. And while polls show this race as tight, other polls show a real opposition to Obama's policies like Obamacare, the stimulus and his failure to lead on the international front. When people step into that booth, the only votes he can be certain of of those of the most partisan Democrats - and those who vote on single issues like abortion, free health care, and the delusion of personal freedom which has been the biggest hoax perpetrated by the Democrats for decades. Almost everyone else is up for grabs and I think that about two thirds of them will vote against Obama.
