Vince, you are not the only one interested in “stopping illegal invaders.” There is a silent majority out there who are definitely against the invasion, just like you and I, but just don’t express themselves publicly. Here is my take on the situation:

When it comes to our borders, they are more secure than they were 10 years ago, that’s for damn sure. But, it could be better and hopefully it will be better. Decreasing the incentives for illegal immigrants to come to America by cracking down on employers who hire them and taking away taxpayer-funded benefits is a good way to reduce the flow of illegal immigration. I think we also need to increase internal checkpoints, because once illegal aliens get far enough north, they no longer encounter immigration checkpoints, and are home free. Having more military at our borders, especially here in the Southwest, would increase our chances of keeping America and Americans safe. Total amnesty, on the other hand, attracts more illegal aliens and more crime.

It is time for the US government to support our Border Patrol officers and tighten our illegal immigration policies in order to provide a safer country for us all. Well, that’s my 2 cents worth!

I went to sign the petition, but when I filled it out and hit submit my anti-virus software showed that it was a dangerous page, and suggested that I leave. So I did. I have no idea if my signature got through or not.

There must be something about the site that spikes my antiviruses interest.

BTW, you are not the only one who wants to stop the illegals.

YOU'RE absolutely RIGHT, Eagle, BUT WE can NOT be 'silent' any longer, WE MUST be very, very VOCAL and very, very LOUD!!!! Nice guys, finish last, dontcha know?? WE MUST Defy, Deny and Defund the DHS and shut them down!!!! They're totally useless anyway, no loss there!!!! WE do that by IGNORING them and doing what's RIGHT for OUR country!!!!

There is NOT enough support to halt the invasion to the north, because the north doesn't understand the problem; only now, they are beginning to wake up to the truth, facts, proof and evidence that these invaders are robbing us blind, right before our eyes and are NOT being stopped, by ANYONE!!!!

This discussion should be out in the main site, not stuck back in this hole, seldom visited except by a few and a nuisance to navigate!! Even then, what are WE going to do about it without joining Ban Amnesty Now?? WE NEED ORGANIZED BACKING!!

That's a personal decision and I can't force anyone to do what they don't want to do, but at least, careful consideration is warranted and appropriate pro-action taken, don't just sit on your hands, do whatever it takes!!!! SPEAK OUT, LOUDLY!!!!

Sorry, to hear that Stockman, but have had no such notice from any of the other (25) notices I sent out, personally, last week!!

If you don't mind, please, try it again, from the original website, rather than the link?? Could be that the link was 'hacked' by the opposition!!!! Yep, it happens!! Don't know of any other reason for a 'danger' signal on a web page if it wasn't corrupted!!

Of course, I'm NOT the only one who cares, but it caught your attention and 2 of you replied, didn't you??

I tried it again this time from the original website, I got the same warning from my Anti-Virus software. It siad that the site is known to either transmit malicious software or has been involved in fraud.

I do not go to sites the software specifically targets as dangerous. I am tired of having to hose out the computer and start all over again just because I went to some unknown site.

Sorry but I am not going there.

Understood, Stockman, at least you tried and I appreciate the effort, however, I still have had NO such notice from ANY of my other contacts and to be sure, I entered the site again, today, but NO such warning was shown, on either entry!!

I'm using Norton Anti-virus and Internet Security 2012, as well as Malwarebytes Anti-malware!! I scan both every weekend and have had NO interruption of my service!! Find that they are both the best protection I've had in over 20 yrs!!

Possibly, another site may offer another link, I hope you'll try it again at that time, just might be the answer!! Good luck!!

Still only 2 replies, I don't get it, but it is a holiday weekend!! Have a safe, but happy one!!

There are a lot of people that agree with you, but many do not say so on here, or Facebook or Twitter. They spend a fortune on stamps or telegrams to their Congressman. I have a long time friend that I am sure has spent enough on telegrams to Harry Reid, and The White House, to make my next two car payments. But really there are a lot of people that agree with you, its like the TV show, "X-Files" says, "They are out there". Would it be better if everyone banded together and shouted as one voice? Hell yes, but it's not going to happen. Does Congress being pressured from different directions help? You bet. Is opposition to amensty growing? You bet. Is Congress listening? Doubtful. What can we do? Continue to pressure congress as we are, and replace those that do not have our best interests at heart.
(folds up soapbox, puts it back in the trunk, and drives off)

WHY don't these folks use emails, much quicker and cheaper, what's with the snail- mail?? Their staff workers decide which emails or snail-mail will be seen and read, but they SHOULD show a number of msgs for any given topic and a favorable or unfavorable rating!!

WE can get email addys or go directly to their webpages and send all the mail we want in a matter of minutes!! Go outside your state, too, don't be limited to a few, when there are so many, all of whom need to be bombarded with OUR opinions, from around the country!!!! I write to all the popular politicians in the news these days!! They need to know they are being 'watched!!' Don't forget your LOCAL yokels too, they need to be involved!!

Give it a shot, can't hurt!! Don't worry about the soapbox, that's what the Forum is for!! More folks need to be more VOCAL and take an active part!!

Hey Dan,

I have trouble getting out of Forum, into the main site, what do I know about changing settings??

(see this double spaced and I didn't want it to!!)

The only time it single spaces is if you type all the way to the right margin and it wraps around to the next line, but if you stop mid page and hit Enter, it will double space, no questions asked!! Clicking Enter will double space from any point!!

I like to type half lines and keep it in a column, like newspapers and magazines!! Easier and quicker to read too, except you guys that use such small type!! Doesn't work that way, it will double space, like it or not!!

Vince when you hit 'enter' it creates a new paragraph automatically. If you know a little bit about HTML coding you can customize your posting using the 'Edit HTML Source' option.

For your purposes anything in Your text hereMore text here is a paragraph which creates the 'double spacing' and looks like this:

your text here

more text here

If you were to input this Your text here More text here it would look like this:

Your text here
More text here

Remeber this would have to be done in the 'Edit HTML Source' editor.

I have some friends that consider using a computer is like doing brain surgery, good for someone else, but not them. They prefer letters, telegrams, phone calls. SO, at least they are speaking their minds. I am sure they realize that any bad thing gets put in the round file, but it makes them feel better, so I say go for it. I have sent so many emails to Harry Reid that have NOT been answered. And IF answered, the answer has nothing to do with what I wrote about. We need to find people that listen to the people they represent...

Your friends are gonna do what they're gonna do, don't follow their lead; you be the leader and go the more productive route!!

Have you ever written to Reps Boehner, King, Pence, Poe; or Senators Coburn, Cornyn, Graham, Grassley, Hatch, Inhofe, Kyl, McConnell, Sessions and any number of others who are constantly in the news?? You can come up with more, I'm sure!! Get email addys or contact info from their respective websites or go to your local reps office in town and ask for a copy of their typed listing!! Do you have a direct email addy to your state governor???? A MUST!!!! Use it OFTEN!!!!

Type one strong email that says what you want to say and Forward it to all of them, but keep it brief, even the staff doesn't have time for a novella and will likely just skim over it!!

I am trying to help this situation and this sort of reaction makes it difficult to make this a priority.

1. You're kidding, right???? I am not kidding - this format is a standard format for many forums and to change the entire functionality of our system for one person who doesn't want a space between paragraphs is a little drastic.

2. You expect me to fix your website and software???? I was not requesting you to fix our website or software infact our website and software are in perfect working condition, I was simply offering a potentially solution to the issue you are having.

3. This is the only place the problem appears, YOU fix it!!!! I understand you are having an issue with this and I will try my best to work with you to solve it, but I do not appreciate the way to are treating me in this situation.

What and why this happens:

To start, this is NOT double spacing. Double spacing is text formatting that contains a full blank line between each line.

Now, when you press the enter key it begins a new paragraph if you do not want to start a new paragraph do not hit the enter key. Between every paragraph is a space. I offered a solution to the unique person who doesn't want a space between paragraphs. The current functioning of this forum is a standard setting and this is how it is programed to be, I like it this way, I created this forum, I maintain this forum and I run this forum. If you have a suggestion on it I would be glad to listen to and work with you on implementing it. However, I would appreciate a nice and polite form of communication as I already portray to everyone here. Also, if you have a suggestion in-order to keep this forum organized please try your best to post it in the correct location. I will be moving this topic to the 'suggestions' category later.

WHY should I have the problem, but NOT everyone does, so it's not behaving the same for everyone; if it's just a few of us, then it's your problem, not ours!!!! It's your website and your software, fix it!!

I don't see why I should have to type clear across the page, to go to the next line if I want to keep the lines shorter in length, but single spaced, not to a new paragraph!! I only want to type half way across the page (here)

and move to the next line without having to go (here)

all the way across!!!! THIS is double spacing and not my choosing!!

They way I was spoken to was not appreciated and did not follow this forums specific policy located here.

When it comes to Web Programming there are MANY factors that can change the way something works for the individual user and needs to be dealt with on a case to case matter. Also, you need to realize this "Double Spacing" as you call it is NOT actually "Double Spacing" it is a paragraph separation. When you hit enter it is programed to start a new paragraph. Each paragraph is programed to give 1 line of space between them. This is EXACTLY how it works in professional software such as Microsoft Word and many others. It is a standard format across the world. Just because you don't like it does not mean this is OUR problem or a problem at all, it simply means you want it to work differently. There is nothing here to FIX because everything works perfectly fine. If YOU have a SUGGESTION and would like this to work differently for you I would be glad to help you and find a solution that will work for you.

This forum is a project that doesn't need to be ditch it works perfectly fine the way it is if there are issues they should be posted in the suggestion forum.

I'm doing the job that I get paid to do along without getting paid after hours and on weekends to ensure a smoother operation for our members. Unfortunately my job isn't JUST running, moderation and maintaining this forum this is just a TINY piece of what I do. Again I am willing to help any member on an individual basis.

This kind of conduct is unacceptable, this member will be banned and only be able to return upon an individual review. This user also had posts removed as there were demeaning statements towards AMAC employees.

I also what to let you all know, we have recieved several e-mails, phone calls, voicemails, and website posts from this member all of which were bad mouthing employees and how the organiztion is operated.

Normally I would not hit the dreaded ban button but I present the situation to the Officers of company and they agreed that the behavior was unacceptable.
