It's that time of year. Or maybe I should say its that time of every four years. The conventions are coming. Soon we will be covered in how great each candidate is, and how much they will do for America. The opponent will be bashed, and promises that have no intention of being kept will be made. The Republicans will call the Democrats the bad guys, followed by the Democrats calling the Republicans the bad guys. In all, nothing will change, the name calling will stay, and empty promises will be given by both sides. So, why do we put up with this mishmash of thoughts and words? We do it to pick a candidate that hopefully will live up to the promises made, and honor the words and deeds of out forefathers, and allow this country to continue as a freedom outpost. Because we can choose.
Certain running candidates state that we are brazen, and overpowering to the rest of the world, but yet when times get tough, and they need help , to whom do they come to for aid? Some countries hate us because we have succeeded in almost every attempt we have tried. There is no magic in succeeding, it is because of hard work, and a willingness to try harder, and risk going into the unknown. The presidential candidates say they want to do the same thing. Do they? Some see a one world government, others see independence, and personal choices. We as the voters have to decide as to who, or what we want to follow. Me, I want my America back. I want what out forefathers fought, lived and died for. I want my America to return to God, Country, and flag. I want my country to be proud again, and not be just another country, but one that everyone wants to come to, and to stay at, and become apart of.

I couldn't agree more with that etire statement....... and if only the ones coming to this country wanted to be a part of it instead of changing the culture to be more like the one they came from.

A guy once told me that the people that come here illegally are the "gimmie generation". Unfortunately we have people in high ranking positions that are professional politicians, and will do anything to keep their plush jobs. They lie, cheat, steal, and promise a voter anything, for just their vote(s). Good people have sat back and watched, did nothing, and allowed this to happen. Now that good people want to clamp down and make our politicians do their responsibility, those same politicians remind the people that they gave everything to what they did, and want those people to demonstrate, create unrest, and vote against returning to what America was. They want to take from the "haves" and continue to give to those with their hand out demanding more and more. The day is coming where the "haves" will be gone, and the have nots will wonder who killed "the chicken that laid the golden egg?"
