Am so mad, they did not renew Harry's Law.. What a great show!!, and the network let it fall by the wayside.
The article I read said that Harry's Law was aimed at the older folks, and the network is after the younger viewers, (hoping to capture them for a life time.)
Actually, I think it was too life like. She did not always win.... Kinda like life.
Yes, Harry's Law was one of a very few shows on NBC that was worth watching!! Can't stand ANY Reality shows on ANY network!! Can't stand ANY sitcoms, so I switch/scan/surf channels, OFTEN!!!!
Aside from Jeopardy! and Wheel, sometimes L&O SVU, NBC has little to offer; mostly, I watch reruns of M*A*S*H, one of the best shows, ever during that 7-8pm hour!!!!
NEVER watch ABC for any reason, had them blocked from my view when I had cable TV, the worst of the worst!!!!
Really miss the old Hollywood Squares, tho!!!! What happened to CSI: Miami, it just shows up as reruns occasionally?? Unforgetable, seems to have been forgotten, haven't seen it since the season ended in May!! WHY do they do that??
I like the other CSI shows, NCIS (original), Person of Interest (love the main characters and actors playing them), Blue Bloods (when are they going to let Tom's hair go gray, he's 60, not a crime), no comparison to Jesse Stone!! The Mentalist is cute, but needs some excitement, it's too bland!! Criminal Minds, is much too gross, but I do like the cast!!
Looking forward to VEGAS, the new show starting in Sept!! NOT looking forward to Elementary, don't even like the promos!! Forget about another cutesy, young girl attorney, something about Jersey, who needs it?? Too bad we can't count on quality, but concentrate on quantity!! There are only 2 primetime hours during the 5 day week!! Saturday and Sunday nights are the PITS!!!! Catch as catch can!! Us poor people that are stuck at home, depending on entertainment from TV are short-changed, maybe one show worth watching on each night, for the NO cable crowd!!
OK, I'm off the soapbox, let's hear your opinions!! If I forgot anything, I'll catch it next time!!
Dropped my Comcast cable about a yr ago, it wasn't worth the money and kept upping the charges, so my viewing is limited!! Can't afford it anyway, that's life!!
Also will miss "Missing" where the woman is searching for her son. Never was much for CSI, but do like all the versions of "Law & Order". We have a group of channels called "Encore" that have westerns, drama, suspense, action that are pretty good. When all else fails I turn on Fox News Channel and kind of see what is really going on in the world. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC are so slanted I seldom turn them on for news, unless its to get info on who is lying the most.
These days, I find myself watching more of the Discovery, History, National Geographic, and Military Channels than any of the others. However,I still do a lot more reading than watching cable now that I'm retired.
I may be new here but I love to hear myself talk..I would suggest watching programs on the FOX network-(channel 5) in NY this year. They are a very conservative station(which is why the shows never win any Emmy's..) Of course, there is is always Dexter on Showtime..one of my favorites, as is Nurse Jackie
I really liked it, seems like all the good shows fail because the content isn't aimed at the younger generation
