Just wondering if anyone has given any thought to how we should/could handle the Post Election results.

What if (God Forbid) the current administration is still in office?

What if Conservatives have a clean sweep?

When we need things done to whom do we go for what?

you are right-but if that happens and fauxbama remains, I believe it will be the republicans fault--LET ME EXPLAIN!!!! I am an independent. HOWEVER< I always vote republican. I miss Bush and Reagan. IT IS MY OPINION that we have not had any strong republicans for a long time. I don't think they fought hard enough in congress and I don't think they represented us strongly enough.

I truly feel that if Bush hadn't been president and NY hadn't had a republican gov and mayor that we would not have survived 9/11. Bush came here and dug in that death dirt with his bare hands- he gave support to all the first responders and continued doing that on all the other 9/11 attack sites

Since then, I cannnot name any republican who is in office. I am disappointed with the republican party but will continue to vote for them because the alternative will put us in a Taliban state. I hope in the next few years, we will have strong republican officials who aren't afraid to take a stand. Hopefully, AMAC will help but even you need to publicize more. I didn't know anything about AMAC- only AARP

PLEASE make yourselves known- let me be the proud republican I once was

If Obama wins again, pack your get away bag, and be prepared for some really tough times within our country.

I agree that we have not had a strong Republican in a long time. We need to have someone that calls a spade a spade, and is not afraid of popularity poles. Represenitives of the American people need to do just that. REPRESENT... I also think that Congress needs to reduce their pay, (my state senator get $194,00 a year plus perks) they need to stay in session and accomplish SOMETHING instead of just taking vacations, and voting in more personal perks.

I guess I was asking more about what folks are doing to make sure our representatives are doing what we want.

I am also a Conservative leaning Independent and I spend a few hours every week calling and faxing my representatives. I actually get responses from them. Of course I have mentioned the fact that if they do not respond they will not get my vote AND if I don't like their stance they will NOT GET my vote.

The trick in this election cycle is to elect the Senators and Representative that will control the Congress. Without them a President is, theoretically, under control.

Things that I hear and see every day (Facebook, Twitter and a few others) are a great many people complaining BUT I never hear of anyone making a focused effort to fax or call a particular representative AT THE SAME TIME or the same day.

Bank of America or Verizon does something that people don't like and they get bombarded by faxes and calls.
Why not the politicians? Why not companies like Comcast to reduce rates, or Charmin to make their paper of better quality or Maxwell House because they reduced the amount of coffee in a container and the container cannot be handled properly.

There is strength in numbers as long as it is coordinated.
