Marcie’s Banana Nut Bread

10 to 12 servings

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup margarine

1 ½ cups mashed bananas (about 4 medium bananas)

1/3 cup water

1 2/3 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon baking powder

½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  Oil bottom of loaf pan only.  Mix sugar and margarine in a

bowl.  Add bananas and water; beat 30 seconds or so.  Combine dry ingredients and blend into

banana mixture until moist.  Stir in nuts.  Pour into prepared pan, filling two-thirds full.

Bake until wooden toothpick comes out clean, (about  one hour and 10 minutes). Cool five minutes, and remove from pan.  Enjoy!
